If a lesser specification SCART lead is used, patterning can occur or sound could be distorted.

Scart to phono Adapters are used in connecting phono leads and s-video leads direct into a VCR or Television. Many Camcorders use phono connections ( yellow=video signal "picture" - white and red =sound "left & right stereo"). The switchable Scart adapter allows you to choose either recording from, or playback to, without having to disconnect the equipment every time.
